De-stressing Through The Rain

8am of this day: 36 hours of no sleep, stressed about the “port:21″ issue of my website database, tired, sunken eyes, and simply put, “look like crap.” This is me. Duh? :) haha. I went out of my room to get a hot cup of milk to help me sleep then I heard the “hard” hit of thick rain outside. I opened the front door, removed my jacket, and stepped out – felt the cool raindrops falling on my face. Surreal moment. 8)

I sure wish I look like this when I did my “rain bath” today LOL :) Continue reading

Work, Travel, and Brain Pukes

Negros Occidental

It has been a month-long hiatus. Phew – as if I did anything out of the usual, right? Nope, still the same – work, eat, obsess about losing weight, work, work, and work while traveling. ;) Hahaha! You get the picture. After establishing two websites, I came to the conclusion that “Oh my, I still need a place to dump all of my BRAIN PUKES and not be too serious all the time.” Continue reading

Stepping Out of that Comfort Zone

laid back

I admit I took very simple things for granted. I grew up with almost everything provided for me – I consider myself as one of those “lucky” people probably born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I depended too much on household helps that it took me 21 years to realize that I don’t know how to survive without someone to rely on. This is what I have learned in Cebu for my week long exposure as a work crew in Young Life Summer Camp for High School students. Seriously? Yes.

Here are my revelations (and I am sure you’ll say “What a brat!” – Ok, I deserve that.): Continue reading

I was This Close To Digging my Eyes Out

It has been weeks since I last posted something here – and I felt like tiny spiderwebs are already being spun around this site. The horror it must have been for you! Haha! Anyway, I was caught up with one job and I was pretty much married to it – not because it was “fun to do” but because I could not solve something that should have been done light-years ago. The simple fact is that: I did not understand what I was doing so I went all crazy!

A Romantic Date with Coffee House Beanery Iloilo

Alongside the corner of Quezon-Ledesma St., stands a small coffee place perfect for an afternoon search of inspiration. This “barely noticeable” coffee haven is my favorite spot to get a dose of caffeine and a little extra kick of motivation as well. After a tiring morning, this is in fact a fantastic escape from all the daily life drama we I seem to have. A comfortable seat near the glass window, overlooking the busy street, will really make you feel as if time (at your own pace) is relatively slowing down. Continue reading

Eyebags: This or That?

When it comes to pulling off an all-nighter, I am darn qualified to do the job perfectly well. I have mastered the art of staying up for several abnormal hours after the usual bedtime and lived to tell you about it. I conquered my fears of the “ghostly phenomenon” happening in my room because nothing actually happens except a bunch of things falling off the table because everything is not arranged properly. Yes. I am definitely a kick-ass zombie momma! :) haha! Yaaaaay!

Yeah! I am the new “Cyclops” babe! :)

When The Human Body Goes Into Overdrive

I really forgot that I have a “human body” to take care of. :( Is it just me thinking about the unlimited things I can possibly do with my body? Probably. Yes, I was sick for several days now. Big BOO! My friends and family would blame me for the excessive abuse I always do on myself – as if I had a problem with that haha. I doubted denied it. haha. It’s quite funny when my dad and I would argue about these things I would always close it with “I’m a nurse!” statement. Then he would just be quiet and do an “I-know-but-you-are-overworking” grin. :)

I jog 5-6 times a week and I love playing badminton – fatigue. Go figure! :) Continue reading

Perks of Being an Octopus in a Box

Doing website development in the wee hours of the morning (inside my room) surrounded by piles of papers with sketches and structured designs for execution – made me feel as if I am trapped in a box (like seriously shoebox box!) haha! Not to mention I am fond of doing a lot of things all at the same time! To give you a simple example, here’s me in action:

Well, I don’t really want a purple-colored skin but this will do for a cartoon. haha Continue reading

The Art of Procrastination.

So I got up early in the morning with high hopes of finishing everything in my “to-do-list” practically enthusiastic and ready to whip some pieces of art (and by art I mean websites, posters, and other related designs). Imagining this scene is quite the little perfect day everyone is dreaming of completing. But with a brush of procrastination – the seven things in your paper (well, in my paper actually) will result to zero productivity. Boo-you-sudden-emergence-of-crisis!
