Still Fat-tastic!

cake

Yesterday, I said “I am still too fat,” and the people around me replied “No, you’re not. You’re OK.” I don’t know if they are right or if I am overexaggerating. The point is, if I could feel these hideous clumps of adipose around my belly, I may definitely conclude that I have some “work” to do. Believe me, it has been a month full of exercise and a month full of “I want to try that because it looks delicious!” then end up with three slices of perfectly baked “cookies n’ cream with banana” cake! What are the odds of weight loss? None! haha! Continue reading

Beginner’s Guide: How to Read Nutrition Labels

It’s funny to think that you wanted to lose weight instantly without compromising your “love-affair” with chips. So, you go out to buy in you local grocery store a bag of “NO + (insert-nutrient-here)” chips. Then you are so happy you bought your favorite JUNK FOOD – with the thought that you will not gain a single pound from a “fat-free” bag of potato chips. Well, you’ll just end up eating a whole bag of manufactured AIR! Tough luck! :P

This is probably what your subconscious mind is telling you. Haha! Continue reading

7 Practical Reasons Why I Wear Long-Sleeve Polos

Not that I am a certified fashionista which should give me that liberty of talking about fashion in this blog and all. I’m just a regular gal with “weight-loss issues” and a closet full of long sleeves. haha! I wear the same clothes everyday but use them entirely in different ways. That’s why I love using polos because they do justice to my personality and to my “insecurities” too! Bam! Never saw that coming, do you? lol! :)

I Ran A Mile With These Shoes.

These shoes were my pals – now they are all torn and useless! Glad they served their master well! haha! Continue reading

Diet always starts Tomorrow.

Now that the eat-tons-of-food-during-the-week-long-holiday is practically over, it is high time for me to focus on my ultimate goal of having a bikini slimmer body. True, I got the additional pounds. And since the first day of January is actually a huge celebration for all the people in this world (where the word “diet” is not an excuse), I just had to let it slip. So, for the remaining 364 days of 2012, this DIET PROJECT of mine is seriously on! I mean, capital S – Seriously!

I have weight issues. I love food but I want to lose these extra fats on my belly, thighs, and almost everywhere! Aaaaack! Continue reading

Sweat Like A Pig!

Well, pigs don’t actually sweat. Seriously, they don’t. That’s why they are still big, fat, pigs –  full of tasty, calorie-overloaded lard when eaten either grilled or fried this Holiday Season. I am really battling the build up of the pounds these days. My head is aching, like, crazy decisions – to eat or not to eat a peanut coated brownie, or how about a delicious vanilla glazed, banana-walnut cake? Sorry dear thighs. You should have me arrested for having a romantic interest with, what else? FOOD! Dammit. (Oops. It’s cursing if there’s an n lol!) :D

Running around the city to dissolve those adipose tissues is no use if you are tempted by the food during Christmas. Like, do you really have a choice? Continue reading

Experiment 1.0: Eating like CRAZY!

Eating without consequences? I was very curious of the human body if it is really possible to gain so much weight in 2 weeks and lose them all again  in 2 weeks. A month long experiment with a total abuse of self and now I am blogging because I am halfway there. Well, the first half of the experiment was really EASY to do since it involves a typical sedentary lifestyle with loads of KFC chickens, buckets of rice, large amounts of gravy, softdrinks, and everything that my heart was screaming for (count in those pizza, pasta, more pizza, more ham, more cakes, food, food,  food, and whatever!). I GOT TO EAT MY FAVORITE TREATS IN TWO WHOLE WEEKS! I KNOW? Shut up. haha!

Literally pushing the limits of my poor experimental body. Haha! Life Lessons I guess? LOL. Continue reading

Protein Power

For several months, I have tried cutting my relationship with carbohydrates. This taught me the importance of protein. Ever heard of “calorie-counting?”Who would have ever thought that protein-rich foods are NOT high in calories? I am now a nurse and certainly I may have forgotten this fact. *Sorry teachers.*

Browsing through some old Nutrition books and magazines, the key here is that “Though MOST proteins will cost you a few calories than fruits and vegetables,  proteins can make you lose weight.”

This is me and a few of my closest college friends. Taken shortly after a huge meal of protein-rich food and not to mention a weight-loss enemy — “pasta.” Continue reading
