Oh No! Fat Girl Singing!

Talentadong Sittizens. The Ilongga in the middle. Wooah!

Several pounds heavier, a few waistline inches larger, and equally distributed adipose tissues all over the body – in short, two “obviously-I-was-very-fat” years ago, I joined a talent contest. OMFG! Nothing big like that of the American Idol (Thank goodness!). It was more of a social gathering among the people who admire Sitti and bossa nova – The Sittizens. It was the first (and maybe the last) 2010 Sittilympics that was held at Batis Aramin, Lucban, Quezon in the month of May. Continue reading

Midnight Bossa Nova with Sitti

It is not an ordinary day for me to wake up in the morning and receive a message from a friend (who will be performing in our city) telling you the details of their flight and itinerary of their stay. It is also not ordinary for me to jump on my bed and shout to the top of my lungs sounding like a little school girl squealing that “Sitti is coming!” – that’s just plain exaggeration! haha! The only thing that stayed ordinary was my feeling of happiness. :)

Great to witness her again – doing what she does best. Bossa Nova filled the Iloilo atmosphere! Yey! Continue reading

What Everybody Ought to Know About The Iloilo City Night Life

You could not just graduate from college without having the time of your life with friends, random “friendly” people, and hot DJs! I have friends in college that really enjoy a pitcher of cocktail mix, some ice, adrenaline-kicking music, crazy dancing, and a night to treasure. It is what it is. Partying is already an overused term for teenagers and certainly for young-adults! Bam! :)

The Smallville Complex is the place to be if you want to have that Ilonggo Night Life worthy experience! Check us out! haha! Continue reading

Rockstar Stalking: An Experience.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect something like this to happen! Sure, rock concerts are great when you expect your eardrums to explode – especially if you are standing right next to a 30-foot-tall super woofer sound system! Well, Tanduay had it’s “First 5″ 2011 Concert Tour (apparently Iloilo was the last place in their schedule) at the Iloilo Sports Complex last December 3. OMG and we were there to witness that night of ROCK and RAIN just a few feet in front of the stage.

The bands present were  ChicoSci, Kamikazee, Wolfgang, Sandwich and Parokya ni Edgar. (photo credits to Princes) Continue reading

Pinoy LOVE for Karaoke.

If you are a Filipino reading this post, I’m sure you are thinking about that song that you usually sing with your friends (either you have the talent or not) during your karaoke nights, right? All those jumping, hand gestures, and your facial expressions during your “feeling-concert-sa-Araneta” rendition of the hit “Dancing Queen” exemplifies that Pinoy Spirit in you! You are going to love this post!

My friends, Romma, Ate “Con” Consuelo Osorio (PDA Finalist), and me singin’ during the 2011 Iloilo Dinagyang Festival! Continue reading

Relaxation wonders in Boracay

Relaxation is perhaps the single most important key to health and well-being. It is the antidote to stress which is known to contribute to the development of disease. When we relax, our body has an opportunity to unwind. This is too good to be true! In fact, relaxation gives the heart a rest by slowing the heart rate, it reduces blood pressure, it slows the rate of breathing, it increases blood flow to the muscles and lastly, it decreases muscle tension!

Two weeks ago, me and my friends went to Boracay Island. It was such a stress-buster!

The question now, dear readers is: “Do you really know how to relax?”

The key to relaxation is TIME. Oh yeah! Make time for it and you will have the best results! Here are some easy ways that I would love to share to all of you so that we could do some relaxation techniques. :) Continue reading
