Talk about the Dinagyang Festival with all the street dancing and city-wide partying, I guess this human body could not take the squirming microorganisms flying through the air in a jam-packed, obviously crowded event. Just as the winners of the festival was announced, there I was on my bed with a thick blanket and a pile of tissue paper to nurse my running nose. Quite a creative exchange of fun and health, I must say! Boo!
So, a glimpse of my “reality” – Dinagyang Festival dancers (not including me) Continue reading →
Remember my previous post about “Facebook and living life differently?” Well, I had a 2-week-hiatus. I went to my father’s homeland in Cauayan, Negros and the following week, I was in Compostela, Cebu. Now, I’m back home with a queezy feeling of wanting to travel some more. Who would have thought that I would love to meet new people and experience new things rather than just sit on my comfy chair and type and design all day long and eat the same food and do the same things over and over again. It’s somewhat ridiculous.
This made me wonder how a bride and groom would feel if there were Red Indians dancing on their wedding! Not the Indian Indians. But the Native American Indians. Haha! Just a thought!
Earlier today I got a link to an interesting game going on in the WordPress.com blogging community and I was tagged by a great and creative writer whom I got to know more! Thanks Aisha! This is indeed a special time to relax and an opportunity to write some words that are now running through my head. Light bulb on! Continue reading →
This week I got a lot of calls from my clients regarding their design requests and mock-ups. Oooh! My phones were constantly ringing and in every call, I would to take that “deep breath” just to have the courage to talk to them. haha! The best thing about my job is that I could use my creativity to construct websites for those who are aiming to set up their company’s web presence. Well, online presence is a“must-have” nowadays. The bad thing is – deadlines! Boooooo!
Let me walk you through my “web designer” life because I rarely talk about it (well, there’s nothing much to talk about anyway) haha!
Valentine’s Day was so yesterday! Boo! We had a spontaneous “Post Valentine’s Day” celebration at Le Reve Deli and Cafe a few days ago. I was with my friend, Jed, now tagged as my “Food Buddy”since we really enjoy playing the role of “Amateur Food Critics.” The both of us enjoyed each other’s company, despite being “single” and “unattached” as of the moment. Haha! Why not? At least we could talk to one another – not all alone in the corner of our rooms trying to have a conversation with the mirror for it to look like we’re having one!
Whether being stuck with a mountain of design jobs or a simple case of “I feel so darn sleepy,”coffee really helps! Need I say more? I’ve been bombarded with “responsibilities” this week and not to mention the earthquake that hit us last Monday! – I am in dire need of caffeine in my system right now just to compensate for everything that is happening. Lol! Continue reading →
Not that I am a certified fashionista which should give me that liberty of talking about fashion in this blog and all. I’m just a regular gal with “weight-loss issues” and a closet full of long sleeves. haha! I wear the same clothes everyday but use them entirely in different ways. That’s why I love using polos because they do justice to my personality and to my “insecurities” too! Bam! Never saw that coming, do you? lol!
When it comes to pulling off an all-nighter, I am darn qualified to do the job perfectly well. I have mastered the art of staying up for several abnormal hours after the usual bedtime and lived to tell you about it. I conquered my fears of the “ghostly phenomenon” happening in my room because nothing actually happens except a bunch of things falling off the table because everything is not arranged properly. Yes. I am definitely a kick-ass zombie momma! haha! Yaaaaay!
The name is French(obviously because saying it twisted my tongue pretty much haha) which means “The dream coffee from the heart.” Casted under the new building along West Timawa Avenue, Molo, lies a great haven to have your afternoon talk over delicious food and coffee – more like “afternoon fattening escapade.” The ambiance will surely lure you into your typical Paris-coffee-shop setting with all the zebra-striped awning and the facade – beautifully crafted metal furnitures and green plants that add the finishing touches.
