Well, today I “surprisingly” found myself attending the “CSI Nights” event of the I love Iloilo team by Gawad Kalinga – I was listening to three amazing speakers and let’s just say I got inspired of what they were discussing. After the forum and the little chit-chats, I came across a college friend, Tracy. Yeah. Small city! So I said “Hi.” – technically I said her name… then for a brief moment, I disappeared like a pro ninja!
Some children in Cauayan, Negros. – “Do I inspire you, kids?” hahaha!
Remember my previous post about “Facebook and living life differently?” Well, I had a 2-week-hiatus. I went to my father’s homeland in Cauayan, Negros and the following week, I was in Compostela, Cebu. Now, I’m back home with a queezy feeling of wanting to travel some more. Who would have thought that I would love to meet new people and experience new things rather than just sit on my comfy chair and type and design all day long and eat the same food and do the same things over and over again. It’s somewhat ridiculous.
This made me wonder how a bride and groom would feel if there were Red Indians dancing on their wedding! Not the Indian Indians. But the Native American Indians. Haha! Just a thought!
Earlier today I got a link to an interesting game going on in the WordPress.com blogging community and I was tagged by a great and creative writer whom I got to know more! Thanks Aisha! This is indeed a special time to relax and an opportunity to write some words that are now running through my head. Light bulb on! Continue reading →
Sometimes taking a break from your regular routine of exercise would be such a relief. This gives you a lot of opportunities to venture to other things like relaxation or perhaps a higher form of applied physics? haha! I’m talking about doing something different aside from running around your place, or your visits to the gym, or even swimming. I’m talking about an adventure (taking things to another level) – a test of your endurance and a new environment to get yourself acquainted to.
We all have those days that we get lucky enough to book a flight to a destination that we all wanted. You get your tickets. You get all so excited. You quickly pack your things. Repack your things because you think your luggage is overweight. You rush to the airport and prepare for boarding. You take a nice seat near the window where the sun is there to kiss your cheeks full of joy and your face gleaming with a twist of adventure. (Ok. That’s already over-the-top!) As the plane prepares for take off… you sit back and relax and adore the puffy clouds up up in the air.
You could not just graduate from college without having the time of your life with friends, random “friendly” people, and hot DJs! I have friends in college that really enjoy a pitcher of cocktail mix, some ice, adrenaline-kicking music, crazy dancing, and a night to treasure. It is what it is. Partying is already an overused term for teenagers and certainly for young-adults! Bam!
The Smallville Complex is the place to be if you want to have that Ilonggo Night Life worthy experience! Check us out! haha! Continue reading →
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect something like this to happen! Sure, rock concerts are great when you expect your eardrums to explode – especially if you are standing right next to a 30-foot-tall super woofer sound system! Well, Tanduay had it’s “First 5″ 2011 Concert Tour (apparently Iloilo was the last place in their schedule) at the Iloilo Sports Complex last December 3. OMG and we were there to witness that night of ROCK and RAIN just a few feet in front of the stage.
The bands present were ChicoSci, Kamikazee, Wolfgang, Sandwich and Parokya ni Edgar. (photo credits to Princes) Continue reading →
If you are a Filipino reading this post, I’m sure you are thinking about that song that you usually sing with your friends (either you have the talent or not) during your karaoke nights, right? All those jumping, hand gestures, and your facial expressions during your “feeling-concert-sa-Araneta” rendition of the hit “Dancing Queen” exemplifies that Pinoy Spirit in you! You are going to love this post!

One eventful night, we (me and my friends) went to this rad party at Aura – yes it’s in Smallville Iloilo. The famous Borgy Manotoc was there for the night and we could not resist the temptation of seeing him in person. Hey sorry we’re just normal girls trying to have a great evening (err maybe morning? lol)
“Dai! You’re in Tatak Ilonggo!” (it is a local channel here in Iloilo City) My dad pounded on my door with excitement and a bit of laughter. I opened the TV and boy did I see myself not so ready with that zoom-in shot. I was laughing my heart out because I was caught talking in the middle of a prayer. Good influence anyone? haha!
