Away From Keyboard: Real Life Happens!

Wow. Good thing the wordpress.com folks did not erase this tiny little domain while I was away. By “away” I meant writing in another site and focusing on income-generating projects. Thank God for passwords and manual account deactivation! LOL With that being said… I’m totally back to blogging here in The Ilongga! You know, I can’t just leave and disappear at an instant – that’s  because this site has been with me since it’s birth (June 10, 2010) and I just couldn’t let it go. Sentimental-ish, really.

So, how was the last seven months, you ask?

It was incredible!!! *enough said*

 

Cartooning Myself

I was practically stressed today. Phew. I received calls at 10pm for some design jobs – booked it right away on my schedule. The following hour, I received an e-mail for another project. That was going well, so, it’s fine. 

Work, Travel, and Brain Pukes

It has been a month-long hiatus. Phew – as if I did anything out of the usual, right? Nope, still the same – work, eat, obsess about losing weight, work, work, and work while traveling. Hahaha! You get the picture. After establishing two websites, I came to the conclusion that “Oh my, I still need a place to dump all of my BRAIN PUKES and not be too serious all the time.”

Fourteen Long Days and a Ton of Backlogs

Remember my previous post about “Facebook and living life differently?” Well, I had a 2-week-hiatus. I went to my father’s homeland in Cauayan, Negros and the following week, I was in Compostela, Cebu. Now, I’m back home with a queezy feeling of wanting to travel some more. Who would have thought that I would love to meet new people and experience new things rather than just sit on my comfy chair and type and design all day long and eat the same food and do the same things over and over again. It’s somewhat ridiculous.

In a Relationship with Facebook

It’s too depressing to innately know that most of us are living a life of comfort and blindly, we don’t really see what’s going on with the world unless we’ll take that little chunk of time to just, for a moment, think of the past, present, and the future. It’s as if we all live in this sphere revolving around the internet – not that it’s a bad thing (it’s actually a great invention, no doubt!). But my point is… have you ever told your Social Networking “virtual partner” to maybe cool things off for a moment? So that you could get out and experience real things rather than sit in front of the computer all day, complain, and say “I wish I was that girl on the photo tagged by (insert name of your mutual friend).”

“Masterchef Quality” Breakfast

You are probably wondering how I made a “Masterchef Quality” Breakfast for my father this morning, ei? That’s easy! I mean kids do it all the time when I watch reruns of the show and amazingly at that age they really know how to use knives and the art of garnishing. If they can do it, so can I – that’s what really started my morning (a dream about a cooking show). Haha!

Party Like it’s the End of the World!

Party Like it’s Two thousand and Twelve! Happy New Year, everyone! This is gonna be great!

Apparently when I woke up, I was reminded by this song and it got me on my feet. Yes, I was in Manila a few hours ago (with my friends) and now, I am in Iloilo City, my homeland, to celebrate the New Year with my family. Nothing beats great music, good food, and fantastic company. Hope your New Year celebration would be a blast as well. Stay away from those fire crackers! hahaha! Diet starts TOMORROW! It’s the Holidays. hahaha I have the whole year to work on the flabs! Cheers to the Two-oh-one-two! Ciao!

When People Read What I Wrote

Clearly, I have been putting up different posts in this site and well, pairing them with pictures and stupid cartoons just to entertain myself. I reached 40 articles a few days ago! I was so proud and ecstatic that after patting my own back for a job well done, I immediately wrote more to compensate for my awkward happiness – as if I won an award or something. Lol!

Ok. I get a little too dramatic “behind the scene!” This is how I go about things on my blog. Haha!
