I intentionally wanted to do this post a week after the first day of 2012 due to the fact that I like it to be “random” in a sense. Enough with the nitty-gritty. Here are my “Resolutions” – yeah I know it’s so cliché of me to even think of this. Don’t bother. Haha!
I will practically stop paying for:
#1 “EXPENSIVE” COFFEE – I can live without Starbucks anyway. (I hope I will!) The reason why I want to break away from it is because I would like to learn how to save and at least enjoy the “good” and affordable things in life – especially coffee. Plus, I’m doing my waistline a HUGE favor too!
#2 DISPOSABLE WATER BOTTLES – I’m going green now. Since I buy a liter of water bottle a day (when I jog) I’d rather use a container good for reusing – my little way of helping my wallet and Mother Earth!
#3 “NON-EMERGENCY” CAB FARES – Long before the fare was an “ok budget” for me, I was indeed a SUCKER for CABS. So, I guess, now, I’d go for the usual and inexpensive mode of transportation – jeepneys! But if it’s an emergency like if I lapse into a food coma of some sort, please let me use the cab! hahaha!
#4 SUBSCRIPTIONS THAT I DON’T EVEN USE – I have postpaid lines and sometimes when I review my statement of account I have noticed a lot of add-ons that I never have used aside from calling and texting. It’s a total waste of money – lol!
#5 SOFTDRINKS – Ugh. This I want to achieve ASAP! If I will stop paying for it, I will lose the chance of drinking it, therefore leading me to a “brighter” and “healthy” future. lol!
#6 ATM FEES – Well, the more you use your card, the more fees you are paying. I hid my ATMs so that I will never ever have to pay for the fees ever again! hahaha! (Right, you’re dumb enough to have an ATM in the first place) haha
#7 RICE – As of today, rice is my enemy haha! I will not pay for it (same principle with the softdrinks) Cutting down expenses will somehow motivate me not to eat twice as much lol!
#8 MOVIES – I don’t go as often in movie houses. Either I am busy working or concentrating on my healthy lifestyle project. Hey, I watch movies all the time – not the recent ones, though. Plus, it’s all on TV! I can wait. I’m patient enough. haha!
Here’s my motto for this year in terms of finance: NEW YEAR, NEW BUDGET! I will build up my savings to accomplish something on my BUCKET LIST. Yaaay! It’s all about sacrifices… AND GOALS! Ciao!
